Homework for December 2nd 2013

Today we have completed the following:

Today was the last lesson for chess. The club will meet on the following days. I'm expecting kids to play the game with proper opening + end game. Middle game in chess is hard as it requires visualization and remembering all the tips what I shared in class.

I discussed the following type of opening in class. I have asked kids to memorize Spanish opening and Giuoco Piano. When they memorize then they can make their own variation.

Homework for November 20th 2013

We practiced playing game using Spanish opening.

Homework:
Kids still need to memorize the steps for Spanish opening.  We have only few classes left and I would teach them few other popular openings.

Homework for November 19th 2013

Today we discussed various types of opening moves and defense.

We learned the complete opening of Ruy Lopez(also called as Spanish Opening) .

Homework:
Memorize the Spanish Opening.

These are steps for Spanish Opening. Kids know how to read the notations. Ask them to reproduce the following opening on board and memorize.

Homework for November 18th 2013

Today we have discussed the following:

1. How the different pieces such as Pawn, Rook, Bishop, Night, King, Queen to be positioned on board to defend it self and move freely.

2. Few checkmate scenarios.

3. How to draw a match and all the draw rules.

4. Rules of the square and how to promote pawn without being captured in P+K vs K end game.

5.Various Opening and Opening Response (The first moves)

We are entering into intermediate stage in chess.

There is no homework today, but kids are encouraged to keep practicing end game scenarios and promoting pawn to queen in P+K vs K.
